About the Opportunity:
This is a part-time contract position for a physician specializing in hematology and oncology. The role involves providing care to approximately 15 patients per day, focusing on a 60/40 mix of hematology and oncology cases, with low-volume patient interaction. Responsibilities include participation on a tumor board, overseeing infusion services, and working alongside APPs who assist with follow-ups and orders. The practice does not handle high-acuity cases on-site, as those are referred to tertiary centers.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $3520.00 to $4160.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for oncology and hematology patients.
- Provide supervision for infusion services following standard medical oncology models.
- Collaborate with APPs and RNs to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, especially concerning new and follow-up patients.
- Participate in tumor board meetings and interdisciplinary care coordination.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar healthcare settings.
- Recent patient-facing experience required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
