About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position involves providing care to patients in a long-term care setting. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works in a 40-bed unit, attending to patients with multiple sclerosis, orthopedic conditions, dementia, and memory care needs. The role requires floating between all units within the building. The CNA performs essential functions to promote patient comfort and health.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $23.14 to $27.35 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and assisting in creating care plans.
- Providing direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living.
- Collaborating with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using the PointClick Care EMR system.
- Staying informed on best practices in long-term and memory care.
Job Requirements:
- Current NY CNA license.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Experience with PointClick Care or similar EMR systems preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Fingerprinting may be required for compliance.
