About the Opportunity:
This registered nurse (RN) position in Labor & Delivery involves providing specialized care to patients in childbirth. Responsibilities include assisting with labor and delivery, providing postpartum support, and managing C-sections. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $59.40 to $70.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial assessments and creating care plans for laboring patients.
- Providing delivery assistance and postpartum care, including breastfeeding support.
- Collaborating with obstetricians and anesthesiologists to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout labor and recovery.
- Utilizing advanced equipment for fetal monitoring and newborn resuscitation.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN license.
- AHA ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience, including recent experience.
- Postpartum and C-section circulation experience.
- Experience with Epic charting systems.
- BSN required.
- Previous travel assignment experience.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
