About the Opportunity:
This is a part-time contract position as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The LPN performs nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients on an assigned unit. The role requires the use of tact and judgment in the care and treatment of patients and may assist in the supervision of non-professional subordinates. The LPN is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Nursing Department.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $30.25 to $35.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge in the treatment of patients requiring nursing care.
- Apply knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases and use available resources in performing the nursing process.
- Perform timely, comprehensive, and accurate reevaluations and documentation at regular intervals.
- Contribute to an individualized and appropriate plan of care delineating measurable patient care goals.
- Collaborate with Care Manager, physician, and other clinical disciplines in planning timely interventions.
Job Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or completion of equivalent study in an approved program in professional nursing.
- Current NYS LPN Licensure.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred.
- EPIC experience is a plus.
- Strong professionalism and LTC/Nursing home experience are required.
