About the Opportunity:
This contract position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in the Labor and Delivery department. Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and delivering postpartum care. Candidates must float to other facilities as needed to ensure comprehensive care. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for labor and delivery patients.
- Providing postpartum education and support to new parents.
- Collaborating with obstetricians and pediatricians to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout labor and delivery.
- Staying informed on current best practices in labor and delivery nursing.
Job Requirements:
- California RN license.
- AHA ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications; AWHONN Intermediate certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including at least 1 year of recent experience.
- Experience in postpartum care and ability to circulate C-sections.
- Previous travel assignment experience preferred.
- References from the most recent employer required.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
