About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Main Operating Room specializing in Neuro care. The RN provides care for a wide variety of patients, including specialties such as orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma at a level 1 trauma center. The role involves moderate sedation nursing and support for procedures involving two Davinci robots across multiple specialties. The RN also participates in the transplant program for livers, kidneys, and hearts.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and developing care plans in the OR.
- Providing moderate sedation and monitoring patients during surgical procedures.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and OR safety standards.
- Staying informed on advanced surgical techniques and moderate sedation practices.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Minimum of two years of experience in OR nursing, preferably in a level 1 trauma center.
- Experience with moderate sedation and interventional radiology (IR) required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association ONLY.
- Telemetry experience.
