About the Opportunity:
This full-time RN, Neuro position involves providing care to patients in a Neuromusculoskeletal Medical Surgical environment. The Level II Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, delivers competent care based on established standards and participates in clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research-based practice. The role may also include responsibilities as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member. The schedule includes day, evening, and night shifts with weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as needed by the unit.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting neurological assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing medical-surgical nursing care specific to neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and documenting patient progress accurately.
- Staying informed on the latest research and evidence-based practices in neurology and medical-surgical nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current NYS RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Proven telemetry experience.
