About the Opportunity:
This position as a Registered Nurse in Radiology involves providing specialized care to patients undergoing MRI procedures. The RN collaborates closely with the MRI Technologist to manage anesthesia and sedation cases, care for a diverse patient demographic, and treat IV contrast reactions. This includes working the overnight shift, caring for adults, pediatric inpatients, ER, and critical care patients. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing conscious sedation and monitoring anesthesia.
- Collaborating with MRI Technologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responses to treatments.
- Staying informed on radiology nursing practices and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Valid NJ or compact nursing license.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Recent radiology experience required.
- Strong IV skills and ability to treat IV contrast reactions.
- Preferred experience in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Critical thinking skills for rhythm interpretation and ability to pass Basic Arrhythmia Exam.
