About the Opportunity:
The Patient Services Representative provides a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This part-time contract position handles patient inquiries, makes appointments, and assists with completing patient treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements. The role supports staff and patients, answering phones, and managing requests and projects assigned by other staff and the Office Manager.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $16.50 to $19.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and confirm appointments.
- Follow up on no-shows and cancellations of appointments.
- Register patients on sign-in sheets and post charges/payments to accounts.
- Check voicemail daily and maintain a clean, friendly waiting area for patients.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience answering telephones.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Preferred: Experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office.
- Preferred: Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO).
