About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established, multi-site healthcare organization in New York City, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join their team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping patients restore mobility and function through comprehensive rehabilitation and pain management care.
We have openings for physicians to cover Bronx locations or Brooklyn locations. New graduates and recent residents are encouraged to apply!
The annual base salary range is $230,000 to $275,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations to identify sources of pain, injury, or functional limitation
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans aimed at improving patient functionality and overall quality of life
- Administer appropriate therapies and injections to reduce pain and improve mobility
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Prescribe and manage medications related to pain, musculoskeletal issues, or neurological disorders
- Provide education and guidance to patients on exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term wellness
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters and treatments in accordance with organizational standards
- Track and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes
- Communicate diagnoses and care plans clearly to patients, ensuring they are informed and involved in their care decisions
Job Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Active or eligible New York medical license
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, patient-focused approach
