About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our client’s growing behavioral health team in New York City as a Clinical Supervisor. In this role, you’ll help guide both clients and clinicians by providing high-quality care within an outpatient and/or intensive outpatient (IOP) setting. The annual base salary range is $70,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor clinicians by providing supervision toward clinical licensure
- Deliver individual, group, and psychoeducational counseling sessions to clients
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team including medical and behavioral health providers
- Review and support intake assessments, screenings, and biopsychosocial evaluations
- Provide guidance on complex cases, including crisis intervention and care planning
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Assist in developing individualized treatment and discharge plans with clients
- Participate in program development, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate referrals and connect clients to appropriate levels of care and community resources
- Promote adherence to evidence-based practices and high standards of clinical care
Job Requirements
- Active LCSW or LMSW license (New York State required)
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and trauma-informed care
- Experience providing clinical supervision and supporting staff development
- Excellent communication, assessment, and crisis management skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Background in outpatient, IOP, detox, or residential behavioral health settings is a plus
