About the Opportunity
Our client, an investment firm in Brooklyn, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics across the organization. The role offers high visibility and the opportunity to partner with leaders across the company to drive business performance initiatives, deliver robust management reporting, and enhance financial modeling and internal processes.
The annual base salary range is $145,000 to $185,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead annual planning and budgeting processes across multiple business entities
- Develop and enhance rolling forecasts and predictive models for various functional areas
- Prepare reports, analytics, and presentations for management, investors, and lenders
- Analyze historical data, forecast future results, and explain budget variances
- Collaborate across departments to identify and implement cost-savings opportunities and other operational initiatives
- Utilize business intelligence tools to extract and interpret key data, driving actionable insights for decision-making
- Establish and monitor budget benchmarks, prepare actuals-to-budget reporting, and lead ad hoc analysis projects
- Maintain and recommend improvements to internal controls and financial processes
- Support the implementation and optimization of budgeting and reporting systems and automation initiatives
- Work proactively with executive leadership, accounting, investments, and asset management teams
- Participate in special projects as needed, supporting the CFO and broader leadership team
Job Requirements
- 6–10 years of FP&A experience; real estate or asset management industry experience preferred, not required
- CPA or CFA designation a plus
- Experience with business intelligence software and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated success driving process improvements and implementing enhanced reporting tools
- Skilled at preparing and presenting reports to senior management and other stakeholders
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and organizational abilities
