About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established financial services organization in New York City, is expanding its IT infrastructure team and seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to support and enhance its hybrid cloud environment. This role will play a key part in ongoing on-premises to cloud initiatives, partnering closely with internal stakeholders to ensure secure, seamless migrations and long-term platform stability. This is an excellent contract opportunity for a technically strong Microsoft 365 professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic, enterprise-level environment.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support ongoing migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft 365
- Manage and optimize Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams environments
- Execute mailbox, site, document library, and collaboration workload migrations
- Support hybrid configurations, mail flow, and tenant integrations
- Implement and maintain identity and access controls, including SSO and MFA
- Design and manage Conditional Access policies throughout migration phases
- Enforce endpoint security measures, including BitLocker encryption and recovery key management
- Configure and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across Microsoft 365 applications to protect sensitive data
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Microsoft 365 engineering or administration role
- Strong experience working in hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
- Proven background executing Microsoft 365 migrations across Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams
- Solid understanding of security, identity, and compliance features within Microsoft 365
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams
