About the Opportunity:
As an Endodontic Dental Assistant, you play a critical role in root canal and related treatments by preparing treatment rooms, assisting the endodontist during procedures, supporting patient care, and handling related administrative responsibilities. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control.
- Assist the endodontist during root canal and related procedures, including suction, irrigation, and passing instruments.
- Take and process dental radiographs/CBCT scans, review patient histories, and document treatment notes accurately.
- Educate and support patients before, during, and after procedures, including clear post-op instructions.
- Coordinate with front office on scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and referring dentists.
- Manage supplies and equipment, including inventory ordering and upkeep of endodontic materials.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR one year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Experience as an Endodontics Assistant.
- Familiarity with dental software and charting systems (preferred).
- CPR card.
- X-ray certification.
- Certified Dental Assistant, DANB.
