About the Opportunity:
We seek a Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This is a full-time contract position. The role involves handling a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Welcome patients, prepare them for dental procedures, and provide comforting measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, offering valuable information and support.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments, and provide materials for dental procedures.
- Expose, develop radiographic studies, and prepare diagnostic information.
- Assist in dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency resources.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection-control protocols.
- Conserve dental resources and uphold a hygienic work environment.
- Participate in professional development to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Six (6) hour x-ray training certification.
- CPR card.
- Nitrous oxide certification and coronal polishing certification preferred.
