About the Opportunity:
Our clients, Healthcare facilities across New York City, are seeking Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC) for full-time contract opportunities. These roles support patients navigating physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to injury, illness, or disability.
Positions are available across multiple boroughs including Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island, with flexible shift and schedule options depending on facility needs.
This opportunity is ideal for counselors who are passionate about helping individuals regain independence, develop coping strategies, and access resources that support long-term recovery and quality of life.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $40 to $45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and guidance to individuals coping with disabilities, injuries, or chronic health conditions
- Assess patient needs, goals, and barriers to rehabilitation and community reintegration
- Develop individualized rehabilitation and vocational plans
- Connect patients with community resources, support services, and assistive programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Job Requirements:
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of rehabilitation counseling experience
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Experience supporting diverse patient populations in medical or rehabilitation settings preferred
