About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Federal Way, WA, providing dedicated 1:1 care to a kindergarten student. This contract position involves managing severe asthma with inhaler administration during physical activity, addressing adrenal insufficiency with emergency injections, handling anaphylaxis with epinephrine as prescribed, and assisting with emerging type 1 diabetes treated with insulin. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $35.75 to $42.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific health assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide medication administration and diabetes management education.
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitor and document the student's health and progress accurately.
- Stay informed on best practices for asthma, adrenal insufficiency, anaphylaxis, and diabetes management.
Job Requirements:
- Current LPN license in the state of Washington.
- Experience in school or pediatric healthcare settings preferred.
