About the Opportunity:
We have a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Utica, NY. This full-time role involves providing critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, including those in Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma units. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and utilizing specialty equipment such as CRRT, IABP, and PRISMA. Floating to various units except Behavioral and ER is required. The position requires working in navy scrubs with shifts from 6:30 pm to 7 am, with block scheduling as a possibility but not guaranteed.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans.
- Provide advanced nursing care utilizing CRRT and Prismaflex equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in critical care.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- 2+ years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU.
- Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required; heart experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR.
- Valid NURSYS Report License verification with an active NY RN license.
- Preferred experience as a charge nurse.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
