About the Opportunity:
Provide essential nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 37-bed Med Surg unit. This full-time contract position involves working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM across an 8-week assignment. Handle patient diagnoses related to pulmonary, cardiac, and GI conditions, maintaining a 5:01 patient ratio.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $30.69 to $36.27 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create care plans.
- Provide nursing care and administer medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using Meditech charting.
- Stay informed on best practices in pulmonary, cardiac, and GI care.
- Float to ICU, ED, OB to assist when low census occurs.
Job Requirements:
- Valid LPN license.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical settings.
- BLS certification required.
