About the Opportunity:

The X-Ray Technologist operates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. This role involves preparing patients for radiological procedures and adhering to safety measures for compliance and safety. This is a part-time contract position.

The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.55 to $65.65 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients.
Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and providing explanations of treatment.
Prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning and adjusting equipment.
Minimize radiation exposure by practicing protection techniques and using restrictive devices.
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Maintain radiology supplies inventory and safe working environment by following procedures.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by fulfilling CME requirements and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT Certified.
2+ years of experience required.
Competency in diagnostic procedures and excellent communication skills.
Great organizational skills and capability to create a safe, effective environment.
