About the Opportunity:

An X-Ray Technologist provides radiographic imaging services to patients, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images. This is a full-time contract position that involves conducting x-ray procedures as per physicians' orders, handling all radiologic equipment safely, and maintaining accurate patient record keeping. The technologist explains x-ray procedures to patients, positions them accordingly, and monitors their status to meet age-specific needs.

The estimated base pay for these positions are $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

Conducting x-ray procedures as per physicians' written orders.
Providing explanations of procedures to patients and answering their questions.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to position patients, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
Monitoring and documenting patient progress, including accurate identification and recording of images.
Staying informed on radiologic technology and patient safety procedures.

Job Requirements:

Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
NYS license (or ability to obtain license prior to starting).
Minimum of 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience.
Experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months.
Recent OR experience is required.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
