About the Opportunity:
This contract position as a Housekeeper involves ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout hospital facilities. Housekeepers pick up hazardous articles, clean floors, corridors, and walls using various cleaning implements, and manage inventory of cleanliness supplies. The position requires attention to detail and dedication to maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $20.46 to $24.18 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pick up and remove hazardous articles from floors, furniture, and equipment.
- Wash floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, and windows using mops, brushes, and cleaning tools.
- Vacuum, wax floors, and shampoo carpets with manual or mechanical equipment.
- Scrub and clean lavatories using hand-operated equipment and detergents.
- Wash light fixtures and replace light bulbs using ladders.
- Polish wood and metal fixtures and equipment.
- Manage and dispense linens, household supplies, and equipment, maintaining inventory.
- Report building repair needs and recommend repairs and replacements of fixtures.
- Oversee and provide continual training to lower-level cleaning personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Applicants must be physically capable of performing position tasks and communicating effectively.
- Minimum 6 months of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Preferred experience in a hospital setting and strong intrapersonal skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization and maintain excellent time management.
- Must live within 25 miles of the facility and work scheduled hours, including weekends.
