About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position for a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Children’s Village in Long Beach involves providing specialized care within a hospital setting. Responsibilities include engaging in half-day clinics, rounding in the hospital daily, and being on-call for weeknight and weekend coverage. This role demands expertise in managing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring, as well as supervising the infusion center for endocrine testing.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $169.81 to $200.69 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting specialized endocrine assessments and managing care plans.
- Providing diabetes management and education, including insulin pump and glucose monitoring.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including ER, NICU, and PICU staff, for coordinated care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and adjusting treatment as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric endocrinology.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Active California medical license with a clean background.
- Local candidates preferred due to on-call responsibilities.
