About the Opportunity:
This RN position in the Pediatric Infusion Center at a children's hospital involves providing infusion and procedural care such as chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody administration, blood product administration, enzyme replacement therapy, and gene therapy. This is a full-time contract position, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for pediatric patients requiring infusion therapy.
- Provide a variety of infusion therapies and procedural care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in pediatric infusion care.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License Only).
- Two years of experience in pediatrics.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification.
- Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) credentials.
- Excellent prioritization, communication, and IV skills.
- Experience with IVADs/Ports preferred.
