About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit, providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of conditions including post-surgical cases and chronic illnesses. This full-time contract position involves working with adults diagnosed with conditions such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide post-surgical care, including administration of medications and wound care.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC electronic medical records.
- Stay informed on current practices related to medical-surgical care and technology.
Job Requirements:
- Active New York RN license and all other active RN licenses.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, including required travel experience.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
