About the Opportunity:
This Registered Nurse position in the Medical Surgical unit focuses on providing comprehensive care to patients with common diagnoses such as post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity following bariatric surgery. This is a full-time contract position on the Med Surg floor, requiring skills in managing specialty equipment like IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support on post-surgical care and management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in Med Surg nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Active NY RN license and all active RN licenses verified through NURSYS Report.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical settings, including travel experience.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
- Skills Checklist matching specialty.
- Driver's license with address that matches demographics.
- RTO must be included at the time of submission.
