About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically driven Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our client’s growing outpatient oncology team in Bergen County, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who is passionate about delivering patient-centered cancer care in a collaborative and supportive environment. This position is primarily outpatient-based with occasional inpatient rounding responsibilities as needed.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $165,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients undergoing oncology and hematology treatment
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, follow-up visits, and symptom management
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans in collaboration with physicians
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically appropriate
- Work closely with oncologists, nurses, infusion staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and symptom management
- Occasionally assist with inpatient consults or rounding as needed
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards
- Support continuity of care and patient navigation throughout treatment
Job Requirements
- Active New Jersey NP or PA license required
- Oncology or hematology experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds will be considered
- Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
