About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for an Anesthesia Tech. The role includes assisting in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, preparing and ensuring the cleanliness of anesthesia equipment, and setting up medications and supplies. Anesthesia Techs operate machinery such as the cell-saver machine and assist in advanced surgical cases, ensuring equipment is in good working order and performing preventive maintenance. They communicate with anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs, supporting clinicians with difficult intubations and central line catheter placements. The position involves assisting in training programs, troubleshooting equipment, setting up rooms, and supporting out-of-OR procedures.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $25.30 to $29.90 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, including preparation and placement of monitors.
- Operate the cell-saver machine and participate in complex surgical cases.
- Ensure anesthesia equipment is in good working order and perform preventive maintenance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of in-service training programs.
- Perform equipment set-up and troubleshooting for devices such as infusion pumps and defibrillators.
- Set up rooms and equipment for procedures and provide backup support to supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- BLS certification.
- Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech.
- A four-year college education with related technical training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification by the registry of the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists preferred.
