About the Opportunity:
This contract position involves providing specialized nursing care in the Interventional Radiology (IR) department. The RN assists radiologists and other medical professionals during diagnostic imaging examinations and interventional radiology procedures. The role focuses on administering and monitoring intravenous contrast agents, managing any allergic reactions or complications, and ensuring optimal patient care before, during, and after procedures. The RN educates patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care, explaining the risks and benefits of tests and contrast agents. Accurate and timely documentation of nursing care is essential. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist radiologists and other medical professionals during diagnostic imaging examinations and interventional radiology procedures.
- Administer and monitor intravenous contrast agents, ensuring that any allergic reactions or complications are promptly addressed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care, explaining the risks and benefits of radiologic tests and contrast agents.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant certifications: BLS, ACLS.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology.
