About the Opportunity:
The Infection Prevention Liaison provides a vital role by conducting direct observations and monitoring hand hygiene practices, staff compliance with isolation precautions, and use of personal protective equipment across hospital campuses. In addition to these responsibilities, the liaison educates healthcare workers on improving infection prevention measures and ensures adherence to standards required by Joint Commission, CMS, and the Department of Health. This is a part-time contract position with up to 21 hours per week, including weekends.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.75 to $29.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor hand hygiene practices and compliance with isolation precautions across all facility locations.
- Conduct quality assurance checks for shared mobile equipment.
- Educate healthcare workers about infection prevention opportunities and document observations.
- Communicate observation results to supervisors, managers, and hospital leaders.
- Conduct direct observations to ensure standards compliance.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with matriculation in a two or four year college program.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work with diverse community groups.
- Non-clinical background with skills to assist Infection Preventionists.
