About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position offers the opportunity to provide specialized nutritional care to heart and lung transplant patients. You conduct pre-transplant evaluations and participate in selection committees to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $46.75 to $55.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) finalize at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-transplant evaluations and create tailored nutritional care plans.
- Participate in transplant selection committees to assess patient suitability.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the transplant process.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in transplant nutrition.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Relevant certifications such as BLS, RD/RDNS.
- Experience with transplant patients required.
- Proficiency in Epic charting systems.
- Preferred experience in community hospitals, LTACs, and Trauma Level I & II facilities.
- Strong skills in nutritional assessment, fluid balance, and dietary guidelines.
