About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Telemetry unit. Provide comprehensive care to patients by assessing their needs and implementing quality care strategies. This is a full-time contract position requiring a current NY license and coronary care experience. Candidates must be comfortable floating to Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans for each patient.
- Provide direct care to patients in various hospital units, including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric.
- Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately using MEDITECH charting.
- Stay informed on current nursing practices and safety protocols.
- Assume duties as a charge nurse when required, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current NY Registered Nurse license.
- Coronary care experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience in hospital settings and a completed successful travel assignment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in stressful situations and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
