About the Opportunity:
Join our team as an LPN in an outpatient setting, providing care to pediatric patients in a busy allergy clinic. This full-time contract position requires delivering injections, comprehensive nursing care, and supporting patient assessments. Floating to other locations in Suffolk and Newport News may be necessary. Experience in pediatrics and a solid foundation in clinical skills are preferred.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $33.00 to $39.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.
- Administer allergy shots and other medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in medical records.
- Stay informed on the latest pediatric outpatient care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in pediatric or related specialties preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
