About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a full-time contract position providing specialized respiratory care to patients including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and pediatric patients. This role involves working in high-acuity settings such as NICU, pediatric critical care, and ED. The therapist conducts assessments, implements care plans, and operates advanced ventilatory support equipment.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $48.95 to $57.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation, if applicable, will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specialized respiratory assessments and develop individual patient care plans.
- Provide respiratory therapy using high-frequency jet and oscillating ventilators.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Radiology, and Social Services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in the Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care.
Job Requirements:
- Current NC RRT license.
- At least 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics, including ED.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
- Specialized experience with high frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators.
- Strong skills in communication and organization.
