About the Opportunity:
The RN Oncology position involves delivering specialized nursing care to patients receiving oncological treatments. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, and providing support and education to patients and their families. This full-time contract position requires the ability to float to other facilities.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for oncology patients.
- Providing chemotherapy treatment and monitoring patient reactions.
- Collaborating with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, communicating changes to care teams.
- Staying informed on the latest oncology research and treatment protocols.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in oncology settings.
- Experience with outpatient oncology.
- Proficient in using the Epic charting system.
- Preferred qualifications: ACLS, APHON, CHEMO (ONS/ONCC), CPHON, CPN, NIHSS, OCN, ONS/ONCC, and PALS certifications.
- Experience in inpatient, pediatric, and radiation oncology preferred.
