About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position involves providing psychiatric care to adult patients. The role includes conducting assessments, prescribing medication, and engaging in medication management with therapy as needed. Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, covering a 3-month maternity leave period at a hospital with 25 beds. Patient load is approximately 11-16 patients per day, supported by a collaborative staff. Documentation is maintained using the Cerner EMR system.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $165.00 to $195.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide medication management and therapy to adult patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using Cerner EMR.
- Stay informed on current practices in psychiatric care.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid state medical license required.
- Minimum of at least 1 year experience in a psychiatric setting.
- DEA eligibility is required.
- Experience with Med Checks and therapy integration.
