About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, providing comprehensive care to patients, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. This full-time contract position requires expertise in handling common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. RNs are expected to utilize specialty equipment like Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun for effective patient management.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $54.86 to $64.84 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments and creating care plans for emergency patients.
- Providing immediate and effective interventions for critical conditions.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress in electronic medical records (EMR) using EPIC.
- Staying informed on the latest practices in emergency care and treatment protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department settings, including pediatrics experience.
- Documented travel nursing experience.
- Active New York RN license and verification through NURSYS Report.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Driver's license with a matching address to demographics.
- Charge capability highly preferred.
- Ability to float as required and adapt to various patient care needs.
