About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department where you provide critical care to patients experiencing acute illnesses and injuries, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. This role involves working with patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for emergency care patients.
- Provide emergency treatments and interventions, including the use of specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatments.
- Stay informed on emergency medicine protocols and practices.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department settings with pediatric exposure.
- Travel experience is required.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR systems.
- Active NY RN license required; license verification through NURSYS report required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
