About the Opportunity:
This contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) at a medical center in San Francisco, CA, provides perioperative care to patients. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, circulating and scrubbing during surgeries, and managing airway and aseptic techniques.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create care plans in the OR setting.
- Provide assistance in various surgeries including ortho-joints, ENT, and ophthalmology.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to coordinate perioperative care.
- Monitor and document patient progress during surgery.
- Stay informed on ongoing research and best practices in perioperative nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN license, BSN, AHA BLS, and ACLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an OR setting with scrub and circulating responsibilities.
- Experience required in ortho joints, orthopedic surgeries, ENT, ophthalmology, general, laparoscopy, and plastics.
- Strong skills in airway management and aseptic techniques.
