About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) involves providing specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans. The role requires adaptability to float to other facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $53.90 to $63.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation, if applicable, will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide various types of therapy and education specific to patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and respiratory therapists to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in pediatric intensive care.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License, AHA BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PICU setting.
- Pediatric CVICU experience preferred.
- Expertise in various nursing skills such as ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of ventilated patients.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
