About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position involves providing expert cardiology care with a focus on electrophysiology at a reputable healthcare facility. The role includes performing inpatient pacemaker implantation, DCCV cardioversion, and a range of electrophysiology procedures. Physicians have responsibilities in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating with interventional and general cardiology. Candidates engage in patient care for geriatric and adult populations, maintaining a balance of clinical and procedural duties over 8-hour shifts with alternating weekend call responsibilities.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $288.94 to $341.48 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create detailed care plans for cardiology patients.
- Provide electrophysiology treatments, including pacemaker implantation and DCCV cardioversion.
- Collaborate with interventional and general cardiologists to optimize patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making clinical adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed on the latest cardiology research and practices, with an emphasis on electrophysiology.
Job Requirements:
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications; Board Certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiology setting, with active practice in inpatient care within the last 24 months.
- Documented experience of at least 30 electrophysiology cases in the previous 24 months.
- Proficient in EPIC EMR system.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
