About the Opportunity:
The Paramedic position involves providing essential emergency medical services to patients in a ground transport setting. This role includes performing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering emergency medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality service. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $44.00 to $52.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans.
- Provide advanced life support therapies and patient education.
- Collaborate with Basic Life Support EMTs, ALS Paramedics, Clinical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Critical Care Paramedics.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Stay informed on emergency medical procedures and prehospital care.
Job Requirements:
- Current certification as a North Carolina Paramedic or ability to obtain certification, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and a current Class C driver's license.
- High school diploma required, associate degree preferred.
- One year of ALS Paramedic experience required; preferred two to three years of prehospital experience with a moderate call volume 911 agency.
- Preferred certifications include PHTLS, BTLS, or ITLS.
- Skills in airway management, cardioversion, defibrillation, EKG interpretation, and more.
