About the Opportunity:
Our client, a hospital-based anesthesia team in New York City, is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment beginning 11/01/26. This is a 13-week assignment with potential for extension, offering schedule flexibility, consistent weekday coverage, and no call requirements within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model.
The ideal candidate has strong general anesthesia experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe, efficient anesthesia care in a fast-paced procedural environment.
The estimated base pay for this position is $220 per hour plus $50 transportation reimbursement per worked day. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for assigned patients
- Complete pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
- Administer anesthesia for diagnostic and procedural cases
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the anesthesia care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Follow clinical, safety, and compliance standards
Job Requirements:
- Active New York CRNA license required
- Board Certified CRNA required
- Active DEA required
- Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience required
- Clean professional background required
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination required
- Current CV required in company format with month/year dates and explanations for any employment gaps
Case Mix:
- Providers will support a variety of general anesthesia cases, including endoscopy procedures, out-of-operating-room (OR) anesthesia locations, and general cases. Cases do not include cardiac, thoracic/lung, liver, or OB. Spinal/epidural procedures may be performed; anesthesia support is available for providers who do not routinely perform these procedures.
Schedule Details:
- Hospital-based practice setting
- Monday – Friday scheduling; must be available to work either Monday or Friday each week
- Flexible scheduling: 3×12-hour shifts/week or 4×10-hour shifts/week
- Shift options: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute meal break deducted per shift)
- Minimum commitment of 6-7 shifts per month
- Must be flexible to provide coverage at affiliated hospital locations within the same health system
- No call requirements
- Assignment start: 11/01/26 | 13-week assignment with potential extension
