About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position involves providing patient registration services at a busy medical group location. Responsibilities include scheduling surgical and non-surgical appointments, coordinating pre-operative clearances, and ensuring proper communication with providers and patients. Patient registrars maintain schedules, deliver administrative support, and facilitate efficient office operations through effective customer service and multitasking.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $20.08 to $23.73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical and non-surgical procedures and testing.
- Check out patients with follow-up appointments and additional consultations.
- Ensure pre-operative clearances and documentation are complete.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Communicate clearly and accurately with providers and patients.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service through answering calls and assisting patients.
- Adhere to the practice's policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum knowledge of position's principles, techniques, practices, and procedures.
- Spanish fluency preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
