About the Opportunity:
This contract position is for a Pediatric Endocrinologist located at Children's Village in Long Beach. The role involves conducting clinic sessions, rounding in the hospital, and providing call coverage including handling ER, NICU, PICU, and inpatient hospitalist inquiries. Responsibilities include management of insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring, and supervision of infusion center activities such as stimulation testing. The estimated base pay for these positions are $169.81 to $200.69 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinic appointments and rounding in the hospital.
- Manage insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
- Supervise infusion center performing stimulation testing and other endocrine assessments.
- Collaborate with healthcare units including ER, NICU, and inpatient hospitalists.
- Document patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Active California medical license.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- A clean background with no malpractice claims.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related setting.
- Local candidates are highly preferred.
