About the Opportunity:
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Infusion to provide exemplary care to adult patients in an outpatient oncology setting. The primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, administering chemotherapy/biotherapy, and providing supportive care and education to patients undergoing infusion therapy. This is a full-time contract position with day shifts starting between 7-9 a.m. and one to two weekend shifts required every four-week schedule period. Floating to other UCSF facilities may be required.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create detailed care plans tailored for oncology patients.
- Administer various types of chemotherapy/biotherapy and other infusions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in oncology and infusion therapy.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License.
- BSN Degree.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- Chem/Immunotherapy ONS/ONCC Certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent adult clinical Oncology Nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within the last 3 years.
- Experience with infusion administration, pain management, and transfusion therapy.
- Epic charting system experience required.
