About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support leadership within our client’s Med-Surg department in Brooklyn. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse leader who is passionate about operational excellence, staff development, and delivering high-quality patient care.
The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (Day Shift)
- Annual Salary: $140k-$150k (varies depending on years of experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with senior nursing leadership to oversee daily clinical operations
- Support coordination of nursing services across internal medicine and surgical units
- Help ensure efficient workflows and high standards of patient care
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including chart audits and performance reviews
- Promote evidence-based practices and continuous improvement strategies
- Assist in monitoring clinical outcomes and identifying areas for enhancement
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of nursing staff
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Encourage a positive, team-oriented culture
- Contribute to policy development, clinical standards, and care protocols
- Assist with budget planning related to staffing, equipment, and supplies
- Help align departmental goals with broader organizational objectives
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- One of the following:
- Master’s degree in Nursing with 5+ years of experience (including leadership experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 6+ years of experience (including supervisory or teaching experience)
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Effective communication across multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of internal medicine and surgical nursing practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
