About the Opportunity
We are working with a software company headquartered in New York City. They are seeking to hire a Junior Accountant to join their team to support the Accounting Department. This is a great contract opportunity that offers a hybrid schedule, and we are looking to fill the position as quickly as possible.
The base pay range for this position is $30 to $35 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Monthly close analysis and reconciliations
- Liaise and collaborate with budget holders
- Prepare financial statement variance analysis and commentary
- Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position, dealing with accruals and prepaid expenses
Job Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- 1-2 years of pertinent experience, preferably in a professional services environment
- Thorough knowledge of Excel, and proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- General knowledge of Accounts Payable/Receivable
