About the Opportunity
A longstanding specialized school for children with visual impairments is currently seeking Physical Therapists for one of their New Jersey locations. The individual in this role will be tasked with providing care to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote physical emotional, and social growth. The base pay range for this position is $55 to $60 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Job Responsibilities
- Provide care to children with various disabilities to promote their development in the school environment
- Maintain continuing, detailed documented records of students known or suspected of having physical therapy needs
- Aid in the process of forming physical therapy goals for students
- Review and apply students individual IEP goals
- Form and prep written treatment plans for each individual student
- Provide quarterly progress reports
- Educate student’s family in giving follow-up treatment
- Attend conferences for staff and discuss with other members of the team
- Maintain open line of communication with parents
- Supervise classroom and equipment to ensure continuous safety
- Protect students from preventable injury, discomfort, and/or illness
- Report and document all unordinary events concerning student’s safety and development
Job Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Physical Therapy
- New Jersey License to practice as a physical therapist
- NJDOE School Certification for Physical Therapy
