About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a CT Technologist for a part-time contract position. This role involves conducting CT scans, confirming patient identity, and coordinating with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities include preparing patients for scans, explaining procedures, inserting IVs when necessary, and positioning patients safely. Accurate patient record-keeping and maintaining a clean and safe environment are essential.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $61.05 to $72.15 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient identification and exam verification prior to scans.
- Coordinate with physicians to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare and explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort.
- Administer IV injections when necessary for tests.
- Utilize safe patient handling techniques for mobility-restricted patients.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records within EPIC.
- Ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system upon completion.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
- Two years of CT experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Injection therapy certification on HCP's NYS license required at submission.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
