About the Opportunity:
As a CT Technologist, you provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging services to patients, ensuring high-quality care and safety. This is a full-time contract position, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including holidays and on-call shifts as per unit needs. You confirm patient identity, verify exams, and adhere to department procedures for patient safety. You coordinate with physicians, prepare patients for scans, insert IVs when necessary, and ensure accurate positioning. Maintaining accurate patient records and a clean scanning facility is essential.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $62.15 to $73.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scans, adhering to safety procedures.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
- Insert IVs when necessary for testing.
- Position patients safely, including lifting or moving those with limited mobility.
- Maintain accurate patient records within EPIC, ensuring images are correctly sent to the PACS system.
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in a School of Radiologic Technology with ARRT Certification.
- NYS licensure required prior to starting the position.
- Two years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
