About the Opportunity:
The Medical Assistant in the Cardiology Electrophysiology Clinic provides essential support to healthcare professionals, assisting in clinic visits and managing patient inboxes. This full-time contract position involves a blend of acute established patients, regular follow-ups, and hospital follow-ups. Each visit lasts approximately 30 minutes, catering to 12-16 patients per shift, depending on the hours. The opportunity is located in an outpatient setting with no call involved.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $101.20 to $119.60 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and manage care plans for various cardiology cases.
- Assist in providing education and instructions to patients and families regarding health concerns and treatments.
- Collaborate with multiple physicians, APPs, and support staff including MA/LPN/RN.
- Monitor patient progress and document updates in the EMR system (Epic).
Job Requirements:
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant, licensed in Ohio or Compact state.
- Experience in an outpatient clinic preferred.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
