About the Opportunity:
The Nuclear Medical Technician provides specialized PET imaging services at an outpatient oncology clinic in Staten Island, NY. This full-time contract position involves working with adult and geriatric patients, primarily with oncology diagnoses. The technician operates in a supportive environment with manageable patient volumes and a focus on precision imaging.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting PET scans and accurately interpreting results.
- Providing patient care and education regarding procedures.
- Collaborating with radiology professionals to coordinate imaging services.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and procedure outcomes.
- Staying informed on advancements in nuclear medicine and oncology imaging.
Job Requirements:
- New York State Department of Health License.
- NMTCB Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
- PET imaging experience required.
- Experience with venipuncture, IV maintenance, and handling radioactive materials.
- Preferred: ARRT (N), ARRT (PET), PET/CT experience, and GE/Siemens equipment experience.
