About the Opportunity:
We offer an exciting opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at our Staten Island outpatient oncology clinic. As a key member of our team, you conduct PET imaging, providing specialized care to adult and geriatric oncology patients. This is a full-time contract position with no shift rotation and a consistent Monday to Friday schedule.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct PET scans and create care plans for oncology patients.
- Provide comprehensive imaging services with a focus on radiation safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with radiologists to coordinate patient care activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress and imaging outcomes.
- Stay informed on advancements in nuclear medicine imaging technologies.
Job Requirements:
- New York State Department of Health License.
- NMTCB Certification and minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
- PET imaging experience, including venipuncture and IV management.
- Skills in safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Preferred: ARRT (N), ARRT (PET), PET/CT experience, hospital background.
