About the Opportunity:
The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients across various settings, including the Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, and general pediatric care. This role involves conducting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and providing emergency care as needed. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for this position is $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and create tailored care plans for pediatric patients.
- Provide essential respiratory therapy and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Stay informed on current research and best practices in pediatric respiratory care.
Job Requirements:
- RRT, PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications required.
- Must have a valid Virginia license.
- Minimum 3 years of pediatric experience, including working with ventilated patients.
- Experience in areas such as ED, NICU, PICU, and general pediatric care preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
