About the Opportunity:
As a Respiratory Therapist in a pediatric setting, you provide specialized respiratory care to patients across various units including the Emergency Department (ED), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and general pediatrics. This is a full-time contract position requiring a minimum of 48 hours weekly, with a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and holidays.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic tests and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide emergency care when needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress efficiently.
- Stay informed on developments in pediatric respiratory therapy and related research.
Job Requirements:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Active VA license.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience, including working with ventilated patients.
