About the Opportunity:
Join our Critical Care Float Pool offering comprehensive care services to patients with critical needs. This full-time contract position allows the candidate to float to various units within the hospital, including the ICU, ED, and IMCU. As a critical care nurse, the role involves managing patient diagnosis such as neuro/Med strokes, sepsis, AMS, and respiratory failure, among others. Duties include utilization of specialty equipment like IABP, CRRT, and ventilatory support in a 42-bed unit.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting critical care assessments and developing detailed care plans.
- Providing care and education to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient's progress in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Staying informed on current critical care research and practices.
Job Requirements:
- Active NY RN license and NURSYS Report verification with all active RN licenses.
- BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required.
- Travel experience required and must be willing to float to ED and IMCU.
- Experience with specialty equipment like IABP and CRRT beneficial.
